Our commitments

Our commitments to the governments in the index

What we do, and never do, with your website and your data. Written plainly, so anyone can hold us to it.

  1. We only read your public pages

The way a visitor does. We never sign in, submit forms or get around a block, and our scanner says who it is on every visit.

  2. One published method for every site

Including the clients of Dynamosys, which runs Accessible Index. Buying anything never changes a score.

  3. Your public page says what is wrong, not where

It shows what is wrong and who it affects. Where each problem is, and what needs to change, is shown only to your verified staff.

  4. We never sell index data or hand out lists of sites

Not to vendors, law firms or anyone else looking for leads. Your results are public on your page; bulk access goes only to researchers, under a signed agreement that forbids contacting you or reselling it.

  5. We never publish who runs your site or who works there

No platform or vendor names on public pages, and no staff names or contact details.

  6. Publication never depends on a claim or a purchase

Your page is published whether or not you claim it or buy anything, and it stays the same either way.

  7. If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so

Tell us through the dispute form. A person checks the evidence from that scan, and every correction is dated on the page.

  8. A few emails at most

We write when your page is published, once or twice more, and then only with real news, such as a changed score or a nearing deadline. We stop the moment you ask.
