Dispute a result
Dispute a result
Think a result is wrong? Tell us. A person checks it against the evidence we keep from that scan.
Who can dispute
Anyone: the government or business whose site it is, the company that runs the site, or anyone who uses it.
What to tell us
- The page on Accessible Index, or the report’s reference code, such as AI-7K3P.
- Which result you think is wrong.
- Why, with anything that shows it: a link, a screenshot, the date you looked.
What happens next
- A person reads every dispute and compares the result with the raw results and screenshots we keep from that scan.
- We reply within a week.
- If we were wrong, we correct the page and date the correction on it. If the result stands, we explain why.
Fixed it since?
A dispute is for a result that was wrong when we checked. If you have fixed a problem since, our next check will show it, and staff who claim their government’s page can scan again any day.
Turned away?
If our scanner couldn’t check your site, about our scanner explains how to let it in.
